On The Fall of Hammer Results, 2007-2008 ram selling seasonIncreased averages have been the story at the majority of on-property sales in the 2007-2008 selling season along with higher clearances. Elders stud stock specialist, Bevan Jolly, attributes this improvement to a number of factors that were prevailing during the selling season including the improved wool market and better seasonal conditions. He also said that people were tired of failed crops and Merinos are always making money. On-property the top money went to Pooginook, Jerilderie ($13,000) followed by Uardry, Hay ($12,000). Next of those results submitted was Egelabra, Warren ($11,000) and, in the second half of the season, Queenlee, Uralla ($10,000). The highest reported averages for the entire season were from Severn Park, Cooma ($2029) and Westvale, Wollun ($1975). Next was Lorelmo, Armidale ($1965) and Yalgoo, Walcha ($1917).
